Dr. Newkirk grew up on her family ranch in New Mexico where they raised cattle, goats, Dachshunds, and various other animals throughout the years. It was here she discovered her desire to become a veterinarian. She attended Brigham Young University- Idaho where she graduated with a degree in Animal Health and Veterinary Sciences. She then attended Washington State University and received her doctorate in Veterinary Medicine in 2017. She then moved to Arizona where she practiced small animal medicine and developed a great love for surgery and dentistry. While in Arizona she met her husband. Her husband was stationed in Florida for his family medicine residency so she decided to move here with him. She knew Parkway Animal Hospital would be a great fit when she met the great team and saw they practiced quality medicine.
